On Licences

On Licences:
 
Section 7: On Licences allow sale to any person On the premises subject to the conditions that will or may be imposed.
These conditions restrict whom you can or cannot sell to.
However the conditions will show the type of person and the licence could still be exclusive to one or more authorised categories. They also cannot be a prohibited person. (minor, intoxicated).
Applications must be advertised in the paper and on the premise.

Section 8: Who may hold an On Licence
Basically anyone over the age of 20 years (yes 20), companies, partnerships, Body corporate etc.
A club may NOT hold an On Licence.

Section 13/14 Criteria & Conditions for On Licences
The DLA (or LLA) takes into account the following criteria when considering an application:
- Suitability of applicant
- Days and hours requested
- Food Supplied
- Non Alcoholic beverages
- Low Alcoholic beverages
- Transport options
- Other services
- What strategies the applicant may have in place to ensure that the liquor is not sold to prohibited persons
- Areas to be restricted, supervised or undesignated
- Any other significant matter raised in the reports accompanying the application
Much of these criteria give increased significance to Host Responsibility.
